Ryan S. Holbrook, DMD, MS, Board Certified
Dr. Ryan S. Holbrook, is Board Certified, and earned his DMD from Nova Southeastern School of Dental Medicine. He was granted a Certificate in Periodontics from the US Air Force, and a Master of Science in Periodontics from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Dr. Holbrook served six years of active duty in the Air Force, and was both a Major, and Chief of Periodontics at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska.
Dr. Holbrook is a Diplomat of the American Board of Peridontolgy. He is also a proud member of groups such as the Arizona Dental Association, the ADA, and the American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Holbrook is also highly trained and certified in providing his patients with IV and oral sedation to ensure their comfort during dental procedures. This extra training displays his philosophy of kindness and compassion towards his patients.
In Dr. Holbrook’s free time, he likes to wakeboard, snowboard and participate in motorsports. He and his family are also actively involved in their church. His family includes his wife Angela and their three children. Dr. Holbrook and his family have moved multiple times due to his military experience and are looking forward to permanently setting up residence in the Phoenix area close to their family.

I would rather wrestle a bear than go to a doctor, dentist or periodontist. However, the group of people at Tempe Implant and Periodontics are great! From the girls up front, Melissa and Sandy, who always welcome me like an old buddy; to my hygienist, Tiffany, who always makes me feel extremely comfortable. She is beyond meticulous with her skills. Our conversations are light, philosophical and positive. Not to mention, Dr. Holbrook, who has an awesome skill set of his own and is an all around good fella. I would recommend this team to anyone needing periodontal work.
The team at Tempe Implant and Periodontics is quite simply the best I’ve ever dealt with. The front office staff are friendly, outgoing and warm. Dr. Holbrook is easy to talk with and extremely gentle, thorough and professional, and his chairside assistant could not be more helpful and sweet. I’ve had both bone and gum grafts done there, and have felt genuinely cared for and cared about during each visit…a rare experience these days. I’ve seen several other periodontists in my lifetime, but this crew is by far the best. I live 30 minutes away, and it’s well worth the drive. Highly recommended!
